These are the Internet Utilities that I most commonly use. They best suit my needs. But feel free to use the search engines and experiment with other Internet Utilities of the same types. You may have different Internet Utility needs than me, but give the ones on this page a try first. I am sure you won't be disappointed.

Netscape 4.61 and Internet Explorer 5.0 get one or both of these. They support about 95% or the pages on the World Wide Web.
Internet Relay Chat (IRC)
MIRC version 5.6 - What is sometimes referred to as chat rooms. This program allows you to use a winsock connection to connect to a server. Once on the server you can connect to your friend by joining the same channel they are on or connecting to them privately through DCC Chat.
