What is MP3?
MP3 is a compression tool used to compress sound from WAV files to MP3 files.
Essentially a WAV file take up roughly 10 megs per minute.
The MP3 compression reduces this to approximately 1 meg per minute, with no noticeable quality loss.
MP3 is an excellent way to preview new songs before buying the CD.
